Age Requirements:

Purpose 

Seoul International Dance Competition seeks to not only discover young and talented artists, but also to help develop their craft by giving them opportunities to compete in an international stage.  Through this competition, it is our hope that the artists can collaborate as colleagues and contribute something meaningful to our common interest.  Furthermore, we at SIDC hope to lead dance communities in Korea at the forefront of their development and wish to be the epicenter of Asian culture and dance awareness around the globe. 

A. Ballet 

Prejunior Ⅰ(Solo) Age 11 to 12

Junior (Solo) Age 15 to 18

B. Contemporary Dance

- Age 11 to 12 : July 19, 2006 ~ July 18, 2008 

- Age 13 to 14 : July 19, 2004 ~ July 18, 2006 

- Age 15 to 18 : July 19, 2000 ~ July 18, 2004 

- Age 19 to 26 : July 19, 1992 ~ July 18, 2000 

- Age 19 to 28 : July 19, 1990 ~ July 18, 2000 

- Age 19 to 35 : July 19, 1983 ~ July 18, 2000

Exceptional participants will be offered unique scholarship opportunities including a chance to study abroad at prominent dance institutions around the world, including France, United Kingdom, and China etc.
